7 Biblical Steps to Turn Your Talent into a Profitable Business
Updated: Jul 28
Your talent is that activity you can do better than most people, but with greater enjoyment, ease and result. Everyone present on earth has at least one. You, Dear daughter of the most High, are not an exception.
The truth is that God created human beings in such a complex manner that there exists the potential for so much more in you.
Usually, the talents He gives you are pointers to where your purpose lies. Utilizing this effectively is one of the powerful keys to financial freedom. This is because your talent is the solution to someone's problem. And the world is built to reward problem solvers.
There are already many productive tips out there. Yet we know by experience that God's Ways stand superior. Here are 7 biblical steps to Turn Your Talent into a Profitable Business:
1. Talk to your Father About It (Jeremiah 33:3)
Prayer works wonders. For each talent, there are tens of different possible businesses. Should you go online or offline? What website or location is best for you? God stands to grant clarity over confusion. Allow His Word guide you. He is the One we're really doing it for and our only chance at lasting success.
2. Develop your Skills (Proverbs 22:29)
Make conscious effort to build and polish your ability. Read book, watch videos, take courses, attend trainings. Develop yourself. Don't let a new day meet you the same as you were the previous day. The goal is to be better today than you were yesterday. One day, like Joseph, your gift will bring you before kings.
3. Serve with Sincerity (Colossians 3:23-24)
Put that skill to consistent use in service. Do it from your heart, for free, and for His Glory. Be a blessing to humanity. God us watching and so are people. You can’t imagine how much resilience, reward and future opportunities sincere service pours onto a life.
4. Do your Homework (Deuteronomy 13:14a)
Broaden your understanding on the area you have been drawn to by the Spirit. Explore possibilities. Don't assume you have it all in the bag. Ask questions from those who have been in the industry. Don't lag on this stage, though. Once you're armed with sufficient knowledge, go right for it.
5. Establish Connections (Proverbs 27:17)
Valuable relationships are your greatest success guarantors. After God, your next point of call must be people- mentors, clients, colleagues, Christians, and even competitors. They hold keys to your business success. Refuse to be an island. Reach out to people. Attend events relevant to your niche. Remain sincere, respectful and alert to trends within your industry and in others.
6. Deliver Value (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
Never compromise on the standard you present to your clients or customers. If possible, give them more than you originally promised, even by a little margin. Also, be consistent with it. You'll gain their unwavering loyalty this way.
7. Remember the Goal (1 Corinthians 10:31)
Profits, wealth and influence are truly amazing, but you must never forget that they aren't the primary agenda. Your real mission is to expand the reach of the Father over humanity. When He sees that your skills and business are effective contributors to His Loving Cause, He will move mountains for you.
The world eagerly awaits the uniqueness and solution only you can bring to the picture. Follow these steps from today, and transform your talent into a profitable business enterprise.
